Zen Flow Yoga for a calm clear mind
A freestyle mix of hatha, vinyasa, pranyama and yoga nidra. The class also follows a yin and yang style of teaching. Yin postures held for longer lengths of time promote relaxation and the ability to look within. Yang postures incorporating breath to move fluidly from one posture to another create a dynamic focusing of the mind body and breath. The yoga nidra is a deeply hypnotic guided meditation to promote health, vitality, relaxation and energy.

...........I honour the place in you in which the entire universe dwells,I honour the place in you which is love, of truth, of light and of peace, when you are in that place in you, and I am in that place in me, we are one...........
"There seems to be something magical about the practice of yoga that nurtures in us the courage to head boldly in the direction of our dreams, to extend fully into our lives instead of settling into a shriveled-up version of ourselves"
I believe all yoga classes create the same dynamic within the body, each and every teacher will have their own styles and beliefs. It is for the student to feel comfortable with the teacher, and to be able to feel that the class they are taking fits somehow with their own lifestyle beliefs or just that what they are hearing and practising feels right to them. Some students may be engrossed in very physical yoga classes for example Bikram Yoga, whilst others may be very much involved with discovering a slower calmer practice incorporating perhaps Hatha or Kundalini.
Each time you participate in a class from all points of views - that of the teachers and the students all should feel like they have come away lighter, brighter and calmer. We all have our own ways of creating this feeling in our bodies for some it may be rest and relaxation, whilst for others it may be a lot more physical, it can help to think what you like best before taking a yoga class to help yourself understand yourself better and to also gain the most from your practice.
ZenFlow Yoga encompasses some of each component, fast and slow, passive and active. I aim to help create space in the body by aligning all the chakras and opening the body to breath to allow prana - energy to flow freely. I hope to bring awareness into the body that is right inside, noticing everything down to the little toe, for whilst we may rush around in life fully engaged on the outside we seek little time to notice fully what is going on inside of ourselves and it is my hope that this practice will enable you to look deeper at what is going on, to then be able to take that inward awarenss off the mat and into your life to become able to observe and see your reactions, actions and thoughts and the impact they actually have on your body, mind and soul, and of course everyone else around you.
ZenFlow Yoga is hopefully a class you will find both challenging and relaxing, calming and rejeuvenating, and above all enable you to reach that calm clear space inside of you each and every time you practice.
In love and light,
